Our Mission

The Foundation and its members are dedicated to assisting people who are blind or visually impaired in the greater Houston area. It endeavors to "fill the gaps" in funding for services offered by state and community agencies. It helps with prevention of blindness, medical intervention, cultural enrichment, counseling, low-vision and education aids. Since inception, grants to individuals and organizations sharing our research, as well as funding for our own special programs has totaled over $1.7 million.
